Meter beans sometimes do grow up to one meter long! In Central European climates you can expect beans of between 40-60 cm. The beans can be prepared similarly to other beans.

Please note:

The meter bean is sensitive to late frosts, therefore the daytime temperature during sowing should be 20-22 ° C. Outdoor culture is recommended only in very warm and sheltered locations. Therefore, the bean is particularly suitable for growing in a greenhouse.
