Esschert Design Soil Sieve

Sift soil, sand or fresh compost out of your soil with this handy sieve. Separate clods, stones and roots easily out, leaving behind soil with a fine, loose consistency that is perfect for planting seedlings.

Use:
Put some soil or compost on the sieve and hold it edge-side up. Shake lightly so that the fine earth falls through the wire mesh, while roots, stones and the like remain in the sieve.
